Regional awards honours ‘outstanding’ Mid Cheshire nurse

Leighton Hospital nurse Sharon Chakandinakira is celebrating with colleagues after scooping a regional award for her outstanding contribution to equality, diversity and inclusion. The Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust recruit attended a Royal College of Nursing (RCN) ceremony in Manchester and was honoured in front of colleagues from across health and social care in the North West.

Hospital consultants and Junior Doctors will be taking a further round of strike action in October on the same days. Consultants and Junior Doctors will strike for 72 hours from 7:00 Monday 2 October to 7:00 on Thursday 5 October.
