I am a HCPC-registered Dietitian who qualified in 2019 with a BSC in Human nutrition and Dietitics from Trinity College Dublin. Since qualifying, I have worked in several hospitals, including in Cambridge and Manchester, working within stroke, critical care and kidney disease.
Since joining Leighton hospital in 2024, I work mainly on the surgical wards. As part of my role, I support patients having colorectal (bowel) surgery as part of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programme.
As an ERAS Dietitian I help patients before and after surgery with their nutrition. Advice includes healthy eating and lifestyle advice, oral nutrition support, changing fibre in the diet and eating with a stoma.
My aim is to support each patient along their journey and provide practical and personalised nutritional advice to help support with recovery after surgery.
